base11 - Homes for Students

Studying in Austria’s capital Vienna

Students of all nations, studying various disciplines, have been living here, in base19, in close companionship since 1963. By 2013 there is going to be a new dormitory: base11 in Simmering focuses on art and culture.

The dormitory has an excellent traffic connection – the underground station U3 "Gasomenter" is directly situated in front of base11 - even an intern entrance to the underground station is planned for the future. Especially artistic educational institutions are easy to reach.
For example: the "University of Applied Arts" is situated directly at the U3-station "Stubentor" and the "University of Visual Arts" resides at Schillerplatz and is perfectly reachable by foot from U3-station "Volkstheater". In addition, there is an excellent traffic connection to the "University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna" as well as to the "Konservatorium Wien University". What is more, the building includes several rehearsal rooms, studios and space for performances.

Base11 is a meeting point for students from all over the world who want to benefit from a dormitory’s advantages and share common interests.
